Where to stay at SilverStar
SilverStar has a variety of accommodation options to suit most styles of ski holiday and most budgets. There is a selection of hotels, as well as apartments (or condo's as they say in North America) and houses. A large amount of the accommodation in SilverStar offers a ski-in, ski-out location or close too it. Families tend to stay as close to the village as possible for easy access to ski school and child care, but its also a great spot to explore restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
Skiing SilverStar
There's no snow-making at Silver Star - it's all 100% natural snow! Over 7m of the Okanagan’s light dry powder snow falls on the slopes of Silver Star every year. The comfortable daytime temperatures average -3 C (27 F), which is cold enough to keep the snow light and fluffy, yet perfect for skiing, riding, cross country skiing and winter activities.
There's a variety of terrain featuring 115 Runs & Canada’s best backside. There are the immaculately groomed cruisers of Vance Creek, playful gladed areas in Silver Woods and the challenging steeps of the infamous Putnam Creek. It's sure to delight skiers and boarders of all ability and adrenaline levels!

Getting around SilverStar
SilverStar Village is a colourful little pedestrian village, the centre is ski-in ski-out and everything is only a short walk so most people get around on foot once they arrive. If you are staying a little further out, shuttle services are available.
Top things to do in SilverStar
The picturesque Victorian style village is full of great shopping, gourmet restaurants and fun nightlife for everyone, there are some great family-friendly mountain activities off the slopes as well. Partake in carnival nights, marvel at fireworks, watch movies, go ten-pin bowling, relax in front of a bonfire, or enjoy live entertainment. The mountain terrain here is world class and will definitely keep you satisfied. After getting your fill of the terrain you can stroll along the boulevards and shop or grab some food and enjoy some sun on one of the patios.
 
As good as the skiing and snowboarding is, there's so much more at Silver Star. Brewer's Pond is the perfect place for a game of hockey or a leisurely skate with the kids. If speed is your thing, head to Tube Town Adventure Park or if you’re into something a little more low key take a quaint sleigh ride, a snowshoe tour through the woods or a romantic dinner at Paradise Camp.
 
There are also all your regular winter activities such as tubing, ice-skating, and snowmobiles. For a different afternoon rent some Fat Bikes and take them for a run around the X Country trails.

Best Après in SilverStar:
Après-ski has a more relaxed pace at SilverStar, this can be a pro or con depending on your expectations! Long John’s is your best bet for après or you can have a few cheeky beers one of the pubs.
 
Best Restaurants in SilverStar:
Dining is affordable compared to larger ski resorts and generally pub-style meals are the main option. For fine dining you can head to The Silver Grill, pair dinner with local wines. The Den is a great option for the whole family or grab something from HB Pizza.
You cannot visit SilverStar without getting a Hot Chocolate and Cinnamon Bun from Bugaboos Bakery. If you do book a self-contained apartment or house, it’s a great option to get supplies and eat in!
