Located in the picturesque Kosciuszko National Park which is home to Australia’s highest peak Mt Kosciuszko, the resort is just three hours’ drive from Canberra. Perisher boasts an incredible 47 lifts accessing an immense 1,245 hectares of varied snow-covered terrain, and has four resorts areas including Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Blue Cow and Guthega to make it the Southern Hemisphere's largest alpine resort.
With the village in Perisher Valley sitting above the recognised snow-line at 1720m, Perisher is renowned for offering a true on-snow winter experience, with consistent top to bottom riding, more often and more reliably. When Mother Nature takes a break, Perisher’s vast, multi-million dollar snowmaking network, that consists of 271 snow guns and covers 53.4 hectares or varied terrain.
Perisher's 1,245ha / 3,076acres of skiable terrain area are suitable for beginners through to advanced skiers and boarders. Perisher has Australia’s only Alpine Railway Skitube, over 100km / 62mi of cross country trails, five terrain parks and Australia’s only half pipe. Perisher’s mountains really do have something for all levels of experience.
