Family Deal: The Rees

Picture it: coffee in hand on your private balcony, Lake Wakatipu glittering below and The Remarkables glowing pink at sunrise, while the kids pull on their thermals inside. This luxury family ski holiday pairs five-star lakeside living at The Rees Hotel and Luxury Apartments with Queenstown’s two favourite ski areas.

Your Two Bedroom Lake View Apartment gives everyone space to breathe. Parents and kids each have their own bedroom, two Italian-designed bathrooms mean no morning queue before first chair, and a full kitchen makes relaxed breakfasts and easy family dinners simple. Ski storage keeps wet gear out of your living space, and laundry facilities help you pack light.

Five days on the slopes lets you explore both mountains. Coronet Peak, a short drive from your door, is loved for wide, rolling groomers and the magic of skiing under lights on select evenings. The Remarkables is a family favourite, with gentle learner terrain, fun parks and sunny basins where kids build confidence fast.

Après ski, the hotel’s complimentary shuttle takes you into Queenstown for hot chocolate and lakefront strolls. Or stay in and dine at True South Dining Room, where a children’s menu keeps little ones happy and one of New Zealand’s finest wine cellars rewards the grown-ups. In-room babysitting can be arranged for a well-earned date night.
